Through my writing, photography,
and public speaking,
I share stories to create awareness,
spark individual commitment,
and build the political will necessary
to clean up and protect
these Great Lakes we call home.
When a brief brush with poverty denies me access to something as vital as clean, safe, drinking water, I abandon my dreams of becoming an author. Replacing words with numbers, poems and novels with balance sheets and income statements, I doggedly pursue a career path that ultimately lands me a president’s position with a Fortune 500 company. And then a man, a sailboat, and a freshwater lake work their way into my heart, and I learn what it means to believe in dreams. And the dreams lead me back to clean, safe, drinking water.
